Summer is the best time of the year for wearing a day dress! Summer day dresses are meant to be floral or colourful and bright and flattering! Whoever you are, why not have more fun with your fashion this summer by investing in one or even more summer dresses!
Miss Selfridge - Zip Up Printed Sun Dress

Day dresses are more casual, something you could wear out for a coffee date or at a barbecue. These dresses can be flirtatious, effortless and flattering although I must give a warning! Not all dresses can be flattering on all body shapes! I encourage anyone to wear whatever they feel looks flattering and what they feel comfortable in!
All Dresses are available in the UK and are under £50.

Miss Selfridge - Zip Up Printed Sun Dress £35.00
100% cotton,  5 out of 5 reviews!
This dress is the perfect addition to your Summer wardrobe! With the ability to dress this up or down you will defiantly get your money's worth too! Some ideas on how to style this would be a chunky maroon cardigan with a small leather brown bag and brown leather sandals!

TOPSHOP - Solarized Print Maxi Dress
TOPSHOP - Solarized Print Maxi Dress - £48.00
100% Viscose, no reviews
I had to include a maxi dress in this post, simply because I am just in love with them! If your brave enough then this is an excellent candidate to add to your summer wardrobe! Great on holiday for the beach! This piece would look fab with some gold accessories such as sandals, bangels, necklaces, earrings, a bag!

I love the print on this dress, the neons mixed with the tribal almost animal print design makes it such a statement piece but one that you could defiantly wear again next summer and the summers after that! The material is clinched in by a band of the same material under the bust with two black lines sectioning this material slimming you down. And the neckline is flattering on both the larger bust and smaller!

A "New" you?

Hello everyone, sorry for the late posts.
A new one though now, for all of those who are interested..

I wanted to create some tips for creating your own "style". Everyone wants to be unique, right? Recently I have undergone the effort to try and create a new look, new wardrobe and a new "ora" for a (hopefully) new way of life.
Just a quick note to suggest the reasons for this change in me, is that I  needed a change and also I have a lot of studying to do for my exams which are soon, that's why unfortunatley I haven't been able to update this blog regularly. Which is a shame. I know. But, I will let you know that I have had this blog in my mind so many times that I even wanted to start afresh, making it easier to update a lot.. if that makes any sense?!

Anyway going back to all this about style and whatnot! Firstly, find out who you are. This is so difficult and many people actually spend their whole lives working that one out. So, otherwise you can look to who you want to be or aspire to be (and DO NOT base this on somebody else!!!!) and base your new "change" on this "persona".
2. Build your confidence, and be happy with you are. Nothing is better than being comfortable in your own skin. It appeals to other people and overall you'll feel much better about yourself.
3. Look in magazines or old photographs for inspiration, on makeup looks, clothes, or even hairstyles. You could even create a "mood board" or a board on Pinterest.com with you inspiration and throughout your evolution keep focusing on that board!
4. Are you happy? Being happy is the key to being the person you want to be. But remember being happy doesn't require the things you think it requires you to have. Being happy doesn't require 'things'. I found that what makes me happy is being around other people and enjoying life and avoiding the people you don't want to be around or make you feel down, and find people you feel comfortable and happy around instead.
5. Stay focused. Whether its coursework, work, studying for finals.. etc. it's easier to stay on track with your work. Focus on a goal for yourself, whether it's a job, a place.. focus on that one thing! This will help you to focus on your studying if studying or work is required to get you there. For instance, I want a nice house in London so I decided to print off a picture of me 'ideal' house and put on my desk. Every time I see it, it reminds me of why I am putting effort and time into this work, because I need to, to achieve my goal. Don't be afraid to set you goal too high! It could even be a photograph of a family member, a photo of New York, someone you really hate or a photo of a really nice pair of shoes. This should help you, I find it helps me.

Lastly I think you should make a check list. It may sound a bit over-the-top and OCDish? I am not a particularly organised person. I used to be. Making a checklist that has easy and straight forward points to cross off in everyday life, life or maybe even for a project. Whatever it may be I find quickly tapping a few notes into my phone or on a post-it-note helps! Makes you feel as though you need to cross those things off on that list! But don't make the points on your list too general as I find this makes it more tempting to just think 'Oh, I could just do that another time..' If they're straight forward then you know exactly what to do and there's no excuses! Hehe.

I hope this kind of helped you, I really enjoyed writing this one actually. More so that many of the others. I know it didn't quite have much to do with fashion but sometimes the clothes just accents the beauty which underlays. A bit cringey? But I couldn't think of much else! I wish you all well and that you enjoyed this, or maybe it even helped you.

Bye x
